At Organization Eternal, we are a fairly easy-going group.  However, we do insist that all members abide by these rules of conduct for the good of everyone.

~-~-~-~-~-~ Basic Rules ~-~-~-~-~-~

:bulletwhite: COMMON COURTESY IS MANDATORY
:pointr: Be respectful of all members. Do not be rude, use good judgment in what you say and do. We are not saying that you need to be friends with or even like every member of Eternal, but do not be openly rude to members. Remember, this applies both in and out of character.
:pointr: We have had several issues with this in the past.  Any future issues will be dealt with immediately and severely.  Please, any hostilities, disagreements, or arguments should be settled via note or in a separate chatroom or messaging system.

:bulletwhite: RE: MATURE CONTENT
:pointr: Be aware that this group is public, and that there are many younger members of both DeviantART and the club itself.  Therefore, please try not to submit anything that might be rated higher than PG-13.  If you cannot get past this, then please be sure to use the mature content filter dA has provided.
:pointr: Events the the RP chatroom often tend to be rather mature or graphic in nature.  Be aware of this before entering.  You never know what you may walk in on.  Be sure to speak up if something that is happening is causing you discomfort, and we will do what we can to keep it from happening when you are in.
:pointr: It is recommended that deviants under the age of 13 refrain from entering the chatroom.

:bulletwhite: INFORMING SUPERIORS
:pointr: Issues with other members – including arguments, insults, frustration, etc. – should be explained in a note to the club so that all of our Superiors are aware of it, and can take the proper steps to resolve it.  Please do not bring the issue up with only one Superior, or refuse to mention it at all, as it will simply cause problems later down the road.
:pointr: Any additions to the canon – such as bringing in a new character, inventing a new concept, or causing a significant change to a world in the OE universe – must also be brought to the attention of the Superiors so that it can be recorded and so that we can make sure it will not conflict with other canonical information.

:bulletwhite: ACTIVITY
:pointr: Obviously, we want you to be active.  What would be the point of joining the club if you never participate in it?  If you go too long without activity, you'll receive what we call a “deadpoke” note, asking you to participate a bit more in the club if you still wish to be a member.

~-~-~-~-~-~ Chatroom Rules ~-~-~-~-~-~

:bulletwhite: CHARACTER PERFORMANCE
:pointr: Do not God-Mod.  If you are caught in the act, you will be told to reverse your actions.  If it persists, you will be warned, then banned.  Please keep your characters under control.
:pointr: Please keep your character's actions at least somewhat realistic.  They will not know where everyone is or what is happening at all times.  They will not avoid every hit in battle or always land every attack.  Broken ribs and concussions make it difficult to behave properly.  Please keep these things in mind.

:bulletwhite: GOD-MOD/MARY SUES
:pointr: I dont doubt that the above two terms are not well known on the internet, but for a refresher these two terms explain a roleplay character with very improbable abilities that aids them in every situation they come across. To best the enemy in every fight, to know whats happening with every character in the roleplay, to be the most attractive, most skilled, etc. Lets just call both terms describing the "Perfect Hero/Heroine" that everyone admires, and/or loves; do not be this person.  It would probably be passable if you were the hero in your own story, but this isnt just your story, and you aren't the only one who matters in this group.

:pointr: Anyone can be realistic in a fight, not every hit will be dodged, not every  battle can be won and you aren't right in every fight. Nor will someone always have an ace up their sleeve, a streak of berserk rage or insanity to help you out in a fight at the last second, or the ability to use a multitude of devastating attacks. Keep this all in mind, and your character may become balanced.

:bulletwhite: CHATROOM CONDUCT
:pointr: Those of us who frequent the chatroom think of each other as a family, and as such are willing to help each other with problems.  However, try not to overrun the current conversation or RP with your personal life.  There will always be someone willing to listen if you ask for someone to talk about things in another chat.
:pointr: Do not, DO NOT, DO NOT start an argument.  The instant an argument has two participants or more, all of them will be kicked from the chat without question.  The next offense for any participant will result in a two day ban from the chatroom, followed by two weeks.  Join the chatroom OEArguechat if you wish to settle something.

~-~-~-~-~-~ Other ~-~-~-~-~-~

:bulletwhite: USING OTHERS' CHARACTERS
:pointr: Be aware that your character may be used in the works of other members, for missions, events, or art.  If you do not wish to have your character used, please make this known.
:pointr: Please, ask for permission before using someone else's character.  It will be up to the character's owner to keep track of this, but it is simply polite to ask for permission first.

:bulletwhite: OE CANON
:pointr: A lot of what we do is different than what one might expect.  It is highly recommended that you familiarize yourself with our backstory and universe before you join, either by reading our journal or by acquainting yourself with a member.

:bulletwhite: LINKS
:pointr: It is not required, but we ask that somewhere on your profile or in your signature, you post a link to the club or our icon.
